Mutton Masala Curry Recipe
A classic Indian mutton curry, slow-cooked to perfection with aromatic spices.
THE METHOD
Let's make it.
- 01
Marinate mutton with half of the ginger-garlic paste, yogurt, and a pinch of salt for 30 minutes.
- 02
Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan or pressure cooker. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- 03
Add the remaining ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- 04
Add pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates.
- 05
Stir in Qureshi's Mutton Masala and marinated mutton. Sauté for 10-15 minutes until mutton is well browned.
- 06
Add 1-1.5 cups of water, cover, and cook until mutton is tender (approx. 45-60 minutes in a pan or 20-25 minutes in a pressure cooker after first whistle).
- 07
Adjust seasoning and consistency. Garnish with fresh coriander.
